Many people make the mistake of creating a product, launching it and then letting it die. That may be because they have made some money out of it and are perfectly happy with that or, more often, the reverse. The thing flopped or didn’t do as well as they hoped so they simply shrugged and put it to one side.
Big mistake. For several reasons.
First of all, the quick kill approach is not one I recommend. Instead, I like to refresh, reinvent and relaunch which means that your product will keep earning for you for as long as it remains evergreen.
That’s exactly what I did with my latest launch of the eCash Generator, a product I first released in 2011 and which works today even better than it did back then.
Why?
Because the demand for online courses has grown way beyond even the projected figures and is now set to hit over 210BN dollars by 2022. As the eCash Generator perfectly feeds this demand and is also a really clever way of building a list that is monetized from the start, I felt it was time for a relaunch.
The core method remains the same because it works so well so all I had to do was update links, resources and add in even more ways to do this faster and better. I also updated the graphics which had become a little tired and the member center so that it served its purpose even better. That done, the eCash Generator 2.0 was ready for blast off.
The beauty of refreshing a product that is so solid is that you have tons of proof and absolute confidence in it so everything else is window-dressing. And that’s exactly what physical stores and manufacturers do when they relaunch a product. They repackage, refresh and relaunch so that a whole new customer base can be reached with what is a core part of their range.
You can easily do this yourself if you have a product languishing unloved on your hard drive. It could even be one of those half-finished projects you thought about launching and then never got around to unleashing on the world. Simply give it some love, make sure it’s up to date and shiny with promise that you can meet and then let it loose.
Tweak that sale copy if necessary. Be brave and try out a different angle or new way to promote. So many new platforms have sprung up since I first launched the eCash Generator that I am spoiled for choice. You are too with Facebook Live, Instagram and Pinterest all kicking it when it comes to product promos and launches.
The best thing about this is that people will actually be grateful that you put in the small amount of effort it takes to present your lovely product to a brand new audience or even your old one.
Your customers will thank you for something that is is provably evergreen and so will your bank manager because you can keep doing this as often as you wish or need. And, in doing so, turn any product into a nice 6 figure earner over its lifetime.
