Are you a creator or a consumer?
Chances are that you’re both, especially if you’re new to running a business or digital marketing although, at first, you will be consuming more than creating…
But over time you want to move the needle from to creating more than you consume.
Otherwise, to put it bluntly, you’ll go broke.
That doesn’t mean you stop learning or improving but it does mean that you need to be putting the stuff out there that you are creating rather than constantly consuming other people’s stuff.
My own ratio is about 70-80% creation vs consumption and that works well for me but I do put out a lot of stuff.
You might be happy with a more even split and that’s fine so long as you are actually creating something…
And by that, I mean anything from your own content to your own promos, products, books, courses, videos, workshops, physical products…whatever fits best with your business model.
To help inspire you to do more of that creation thing (we all need inspiration at times), here are some ideas for physical and digital items you can create as well as tips on how best to do that.
